The High School Cross Country Training Series is a pre-season program designed to take runners to the next level. Training here is two-fold: physical and mental. Over the course of four weeks, expert New York Road Runners coaches guide runners through workouts that improve endurance, speed, and form with the goal of building a strong foundation for the upcoming cross country season. On the academic side, informative workshops focus on topics such as sports psychology, proper nutrition and race strategy.
New to the program this year, High School Cross Country Training Series participants will be attending the New Paltz Running Camp from July 30 – August 4. Youth will stay on the SUNY New Paltz campus and experience a traditional sleepaway camp combined with the quality training and coaching of a running camp.
