As head coach at the College of New Rochelle in Westchester from 2014-2015, Duffy coached the team to the highest conference finish in school history. She was a mid-distance and distance coach at MacArthur High School, where she coached runners to All-State, County Championship, and Conference Championship titles, and the team's relay squads finished in 7th place at Nationals.
As a decorated collegiate runner, Duffy overcame a nearly career-ending injury her freshman year to graduate as a multi-year letter-winner and 3-year captain for the cross country and track & field teams at St. John's University. Her accolades on the track included: six-time All-Metropolitan, three-time All-Big East and two-time All-ECAC, and three-time Metropolitan champion in the 4x800 meter relay.
